Sean Gao & Friends China Trip

As a token of appreciation for many supporters of the new musical Shanghai Sonatas and Sean’s many musical projects, Shanghai Sonatas Foundation (USA) announces the popular and long-anticipated Sean Gao and Friends China Trip, for the 12th time since 2004:                                                           

  • Beijing, Xi'An, Shanghai, and Suzhou. (October 13-26, 2025, tentative)

As an experienced, bilingual and bicultural producer of international concert tours and special trip director since 2004, Sean (Xiang) Gao is also the University of Delaware Trustees Distinguished Professor of Music. The award-winning concert violinist and composer has brought countless Americans to visit China to promote cultural exchange and understanding between East and West. He looks forward to sharing music, culture, history, and cuisines of the "Middle Kingdom" with you.

2. Space is limited for the VIP trips we offer. For those interested in securing a space for the upcoming trip, please fill out the interest form by May 1, 2025 for the June 2025 trip. We will provide you with information and an application soon after that.​

3. Complete this "Application Form" and "Trip Agreement and General Release 2025", send both to us with deposit by May 15, 2025:

A trip orientation meeting (hybrid with zoom option) will be held in mid-May 2025 to prepare you for the trip.
